What is Vitamin
Vitamins are organic compounds required in small amounts for essential metabolic processes in the body. They are not synthesized in sufficient quantities by the body (except Vitamin D in some cases) and must be obtained through the diet.
Vitamins are classified into two categories based on solubility
- Fat Soluble Vitamins
- Water Soluble Vitamins
Fat Soluble Vitamins are A D E K Store in the liver and fat. Excess intake may lead to toxicity.
Water Soluble Vitamins are Vitamin-B all group and Vitamin-C not store in large amounts, reduced by urine.
